    What is the benefit of choosing a FELTOM member school?

      Most FELTOM member schools have been offering English Language courses for many years. They understand the importance of offering students a relaxed, stimulating environment in which to learn while at the same time ensuring quality teaching. All FELTOM member schools must fulfil all the criteria of the FELTOM Accreditation Scheme before they can be accredited.


  • Is FELTOM recognised outside Malta?

      FELTOM is a member of the Global Alliance of Education and Language Associations (GAELA) which represents quality providers of language programmes around the world.


  • Are all English Language Schools in Malta members of FELTOM?

      No. At the moment 16 schools are members of FELTOM. These include some of the largest, most established English Language schools on the island. Over 65% of students coming to Malta to learn English choose a FELTOM member school.


  • Who can become a member of FELTOM?

      Any English Language school which has been in operation for a minimum of 2 years and fulfils all the requirements of the FELTOM Accreditation Scheme may become an accredited member of FELTOM.


  • Is English widely spoken in Malta?

      Yes. Malta has 2 official languages – English and Maltese. Both languages are compulsory for all students in Maltese schools until the age of 16. A high standard of English is required for all students entering the University, as this is the language of instruction.


  • What can Malta offer a student wanting to learn English?

      Malta can offer students a total immersion experience in a warm relaxed atmosphere. In addition to learning English in the classroom, students can practice what they have learnt in their free time and during leisure activities. Many cultural and sports activities are conducted in English and English language books, newspapers and magazines are widely available.
